    1. I don’t do much with it, but I have another blog I run called Public Safety Tidbits (www.festidbits.wordpress.com) that is primarily about fire/ems/police/safety related stuff. Some is about, some is for those who work in above fields.

  1. They are a band of heroes. Four of them walked into my house, carried me to the ambulance, talked to me on the ride, and delivered me to the emergency room of the hospital, brushing aside requests for paper work until they deposited me onto a bed beyond the doors. They, literally, saved my life. Some of my students have become firemen. Some have become policemen. All are helping us every day. Kudos and applause and grateful thanks to them.

      1. Because I had lost so much blood from internal bleeding, I was very weak, but happy to see the Firemen. The ride to the hospital was scary because the one with me was watching my vitals that were yo-yoing, and I knew he was very concerned. He kept apologizing to me about the rough ride because the shocks in the vehicle were shot. I felt secure because I knew I was in good hands.

      1. A bleeding ulcer. The extreme loss of blood caused my heart to act up. They gave me what I call “two bags of blood.” Then, they had to go into my stomach and close the bleeding ulcer with a staple. Not pleasant,Tena. As a consequence, I cannot take aspirin in any form.
