30 Day Blogging Challenge – Day 11: 5 Favorite Foods

After midnight, and need to get to bed after being up since 5am…… So, really quick……

My Five Favorite Foods:
Coconut
Pineapple
Swiss Cheese
Yogurt
Avocado (told you it was making it on my list Laurin

This list is by no means comprehensive or in any order of most favorite. There are many that could have been included – these are the ones that popped into my drained mind….. And with that I bid you good night before I smash my face into my phone.

30 Day Blogging Challenge – Day 7: Five Favorite Songs

The goal of this blog challenge is to start of (whatever day) with “Day One” and just blog each day for 30 days using the topic for that day.  Join the 30 Day Challenge.

Now that I’m caught up….  On to today…..

Day 9: What’s In Your Bag/Wallet

Well, let’s see….. Of course there’s usual wallet and phone.

I also have a couple mini composition books that I use for various purposes (one of which to write down story ideas – if I get so lucky as to be able to write anything down), My multi tool (which I thought I’d lost – turned out it was in a different purse), Pens/Pencils – that end up being taken out and used in the house (I do have a mechanical pencil that stays), Travel USB adapter/charger (?), Travel toothbrush, tiny bottle of hand sanitizer, lip balm, clippers.    And let’s not forget the inherit junk (including paperwork, etc) that makes its way in there.

30 Day Blogging Challenge – Day 6: What Are You Afraid Of

The goal of this blog challenge is to start of (whatever day) with “Day One” and just blog each day for 30 days using the topic for that day.  Join the 30 Day Challenge.

Missed Day 6 & 7 on their actual days and decided to work backwards to catch up.  Did “Day 7” yesterday  and now on to……

Day 6: What Are you Afraid Of?

There are a lot of things I could of mention…..

For one the fear of death….  well not so much death itself, but suffering.  I mean death itself isn’t really much to be afraid of (except when you think about afterlife and heaven/hell, etc – but we won’t go there)…..  Once you’re dead, you’re dead!!   It’s the  suffering before hand that more worries me.  I’d just as soon not know that I’m going to die….  I mean we all know we’re going to die someday right?!?  but I don’t want to know when it happens.  I just want to go simply & suddenly (in my sleep would be nice).

Another thing I’m afraid of is snakes that are not in the control of a handler….  Touching a known snake (where I know it’s not poisonous, etc) is no big deal.  But if I see one outside of controlled conditions….. Red/Black, Red/Yellow….  screw that I’m not getting close enough  to figure that out.    Ok, maybe that’s not the best attitude since (I’ve been told) you need to be able to describe the snake if (G0d forbid) something happens….  Still not on my list of things to do.

30 Day Blogging Challenge – Day 7: Five Favorite Songs

The goal of this blog challenge is to start of (whatever day) with “Day One” and just blog each day for 30 days using the topic for that day.  Join the 30 Day Challenge.

Working my way backwards (to cover the days I missed)…..

Day 7: Five Favorite Songs

There are a lot of songs out there that I enjoy listening to.  Trying to pick 5 “favorites” is a daunting task, but here are 5 (complete with you tube link – well that took forever trying to figure out how to get link for song, not entire damn playlist) that I enjoy.

Convoy by CW McCall   Just a fun, goofy, song

Islands in the Stream by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton.   (Here’s another sung by Carrie Underwood – It may not be Dolly, but she does a beautiful job in her own right).

Coward of the County by Kenny Rogers (Every one has they’re breaking point)

Bop by Dan Seals.  Love bopping to this one.

Lastly…. Riverdance.  Not a song, but love the moves.  Michael Flattery is one of the best at this kind of dance.   The control and muscles that all the dancers use never ceases to astound me.

30 Day Blogging Challenge – Day 8: Current Goals

The goal of this blog challenge is to start of (whatever day) with “Day One” and just blog each day for 30 days using the topic for that day.  Join the 30 Day Challenge.

So, counting back, today should be “Day 8”

Day 8: Current Goals

Before I start on the blog for today, I feel the need (though not strictly necessary) to explain the reason for missing the past couple days (which i will go back and fill in)……  To be honest, the past few days hasn’t been the best for me.  I won’t go into details as it doesn’t really matter.  Just suffice to say that my energy and motivation for blogging (or really much of anything) took a major hit.

The topic for today’s blog challenge is my current goals……..   Ummmmm, I wish to hell I knew.   Guess some of the residual gloom and doom is still with me, because I just can’t think of any goals to put down.  There are a few things I’d “Like” to do but none that seem to be anywhere in the realm of possibility.

Part of me would like to go back and get a degree (or, at my age, at least a certificate) in something – but no idea what.  I would also like to publish my mom’s work.  Not sure if this classifies as a goal for myself (rather out of need for necessity), but one final goal is that of finding a decent job (6+ years out of the work force that endeavor, quite frankly, scares the beejeebies out of me)
