Share Your World (for last week) – Feb 06, 2017

These are Cee’s Share Your World questions from last week (I’m running late, can’t you tell).

Without further ado, here are her questions for us (in bold) and my answers (in italics) –

Regarding your fridge, is it organized or a mess inside?

A little of both.  There is at least some level of organization, especially when the hubby is involved  (he’s more the organization freak).  Sometimes it does get a bit chaotic, especially right after a shopping trip when we might just shove everything inside.  It generally doesn’t stay that way too terribly long and most everything has a specific place to go.

Do you prefer your food separated or mixed together?

Partly depends on what it is.   Somethings are okay mixed together, others not so much.  I do have a tendency, towards the end of a meal (when there is only a little left on the plate), I do have tendency to scoop everything together jut to finish it up.

Do you prefer reading coffee table books (picture), biographies, fiction, non-fiction, educational?

How about any of the above??  I really couldn’t choose which of those I’d prefer reading…  Any of them would be enjoyable to me.  Particularly if it is about subject matter I enjoy.

Close your eyes. Listen to your body. What part of your body is seeking attention? What is it telling you?

My face;  It’s telling me to do my morning skincare routine – LOL.

Share Your World – January 30, 2017

Joining Cee for her weekly “Share Your World” (running late, as usual – LOL).

Her questions in bold, my response in italics….

What is the most incredible natural venue that you’ve ever seen:

The “Grand Canyon” (now why do I keep trying to put an e on the of Canyon) comes to mind.  I’ve also seen a couple incredible waterfalls (mostly in Oregon).

How many siblings do you have? What’s your birth order?

No siblings…  I’m an only, so my birth order is 1.  I’m the oldest, the middle, the youngest – all rolled into one.
If you were a shoe, what kind would you be and why?

A tennis shoe, definitely…  Solid, loyal, comfortable.

What is the strangest/weirdest thing you have ever eaten?
Honestly, I can’t think of anything strange or weird that I’ve eaten… Some might say picked herring or gefelte fish (but to me that isn’t weird or strange – just shows it’s a matter of interpretation).

Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Not sure if it’s a grateful/thankful thing or not but my son has been doing very well with his new online studies.  Taking initiative without being asked or told.  Looking forward to the “Mystery Hostess” party I’m doing on facebook for my Mary Kay business (started today).  Can get hectic keeping up with posting to the event with everything else that goes along around here, but I always have fun doing the events.

Share Your World – January 09, 2017

If you lost a bet and had to dye your hair a color of the rainbow for a week, what color would it be?  Purple Definitely Purple.  It’s my favorite and purple supposedly compliments my hazel eyes.
If you could choose one word to focus on for 2017, what would it be?  One word, huhhh?!? Hmmmm…. Confidence.  I need to focus on having more confidence.

What was one thing you learned last year that you added to your life?   No idea.

If life was ‘just a bowl of cherries’… which fruit other than a cherry would you be..?  I don’t know an orange I guess.   I can be both sweet and tangy.

Share Your World: 2016 – Week 50

Sorry Cee, running late posting my Share Your World answers but here they are.

What is your favorite smell? What memory does it remind you of?

Not sure that there’s a specific smell memory that sticks in my mind or that I have a particular favorite smell. I love the smell of roses and the smell of candles.  Baking smells are kind of nice too…. But can’t say that any brings back any memories per se.  Roses, maybe – I think of the double delights that my dad grew when I was growing up but that’s about the closest.

What type of pet do you have or want to have?

I’ve always had cats pretty much all my life.  Currently we have a Maine Coone / ???  mix.  We got her from the Humane Society.  When I was much younger I remember we had a goat named florence, a dog named Shawna, Chickens (no names there), a  cat (I forgot the name); later we had a cat named Wan Purr On.  From there it was all cats.  I could tell stories about some of them, but that would make this way too long 😀

Are you usually late, early, or right on time?
Personally, I prefer to be early if possible (that’s probably the “Judging – J” part of the ISTJ in me.  My husband (though he also has the same J – Judging characteristic) is less concerned about time than I am and figures we’ll get there when we do and is less worried about time than I am – However you should see him in the grocery store straightening up shelves… He’s a bit of a perfectionist about having things put away correctly in specific spots.

For recharging, would you rather meditate, swim, walk, listen to music, write, read, yoga, qigong other?

For recharging, I’d probably prefer a walk (or bike ride), reading, maybe writing, and listening to music (very likely listening to music while doing any of the above.  Once upon a time, I’d say walking or bike riding would top the list.  I use to love to walk places.  It was not uncommon (daily event) for me to walk a ways to catch the bus to school (college) at a nearby mall rather than catching it at a closer bus stop, just so I could have the opportunity to walk (and think).

Bonus:  What made you smile, etc/ What are you looking forward too (summarized that question).

I missed doing the last SYW (actually think I missed a few 😦 ).  A few weeks ago I made a bunch of muffins…. Sent a dozen to troops (overseas?) plus gave some to local fire stations here.

I’m looking forward to making another batch (cookies this time) to send to more troops.  Also looking forward (sort of) to a trip to to Texas – I say sort of because there’s a lot to do getting ready and I’m a bit of worry-wort sometimes.  Hoping the trip and visits in Texas go smoothly.
