#AtoZChallenge: #Cooking Terms – Quick Bread

Quick Bread – is made using baking soda, baking powder, or steam as opposed to yeast.  It is because of the fact that there is no rising time required that it is called “quick” bread..  It wasn’t until the end of the 18th century that chemically leavened quick-breads were developed.   Baking powder wasn’t developed commercially until 1857.

Join me on an A to Z Journey of Cooking Terms throughout the month of April.
