Gosh it’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these Share Your World challenges (?). The last one that is showing up is from 2014 (I’m positive I’ve done something since then — Haven’t I?? Well, in any event, thought I’d take a moment and answer Cee’s “Share Your World” questions for Week 15:
Regarding your fridge, is it organized or a mess inside?
Depends on what day you look inside and who you ask 😛 I wouldn’t say it’s a mess but can’t really say it’s super organized either. Course if my husband (who is the organized/neat freak of the house) gets a hold of it then it’ll be much more organized.
Have you ever been a participant in a parade? What did you do?
Back in my high school days I played clarinet in the marching band — Good times, Good times. I still remember, during practice, everyone would get all mixed (and messed) up. Some of the flutes would be back with the drummers & trombones, some of the trumpets would be up with the clarinets, etc. Our marching band played in the Starlight Parade one year and the Rose Parade the next year (both were in Portland, Oregon). I must say it was quite an experience. Can’t say that I cared much for the hot, polyester, uniforms or the “standing at attention” while a drill sergeant inspected us. Ohhh and the stepping over cords & cable in the roadway (not to mention the umm… horse droppings, while still maintaining the proper formation. Ohhh there was also a parade, I believe it was, in Victoria BC. Had loads of fun on that field trip.
How do you stand out from the crowd?
Not really sure if I do and if so how. I don’t really think I’m all that noticeable. Maybe my height?? I am pretty short at under 5 foot. Perhaps my dar black hair (though it’s got quite a bit of gray in it now. At one time my hair was almost a mix between being a sort of bluish black with tinge of red highlights if I had been in the sun a lot (especially if you saw it in the sun). Over the years it’s kind of dulled and like I said quite a bit of gray in their now.
How many bones, if any, have you broken?
Accidentally — Don’t think I’ve had any really. Did do something to my shoulder once when I was a kid…. But I don’t think that was actually a bone. Remember the doctor saying that there really wasn’t much to be done — sling it and let it heal on it’s own. I did have some bones surgically broken and reset in my feet. One time was back in my teen years and another was a bit later as an adult (probably mid twenties??).
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Not really a “grateful” thing… My husband and son got some shelving units built for the train/office room. Also, my son is due to receive his next rank of “First Class” at the upcoming Court of Honor” this next weekend.
