Each week, Cee gives us a list of 4 questions to answer. Some are easy, some more difficult (some almost downright impossible) — All are fun…
How do you get rid of pesky phone calls from telemarketers?
One of my favorite (said loosely) things to do was to let the telemarketers waste their time going through their entire spiel, only to tell them I wasn’t interested and didn’t have the money (as in “would a rubber check be acceptable” ) – which, of course, I knew all along.
Now a days I simply don’t answer calls I don’t recognize. If I don’t recognize the name/number and you don’t care to leave a message… I don’t need to talk to you 😛
What are you a “natural” at doing?
I can’t think of anything that I would consider myself a “natural” at. I guess clerical/filing type stuff might fit (though I don’t know that I’d say I’m a “natural” at it). Basic Math is another that comes to mind. I use to be one of those people that could keep a running total of the money she was spending at the grocery store and be with in pennies of the actual amount… Nowadays I don’t do that so well — even without adding in the extra complication of taxes (I believe it started with something called “baby brain” that just perpetuated all the way up to “teen-brain”).
How often do you get a haircut?
I don’t really pay attention to how often I get, or rather cut my own hair. Money around here is tight and money for getting a haircut for me is low on the list of priorities. I make do with thinning and trimming my own hair using hair cutting scissors and thinning sheers…. I also cut my husbands hair as well (using hair clippers). The only one who actually gets professional style haircuts around here is our son — And that’s only because someone else pays for it.
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word “fun”?
Fun? What’s Fun?? Just Kidding…. The first thing that comes to mind is just a quiet time to read or write (whether a short story or a blog). Fun is learning about things that interest me (like Fire/EMS and Writing).
