Why I prefer the train

I was inspired to write this post after reading the article: Why Airlines Want To Make You Suffer

As a child, I use to love flying, by myself, to see my grand-parents. I was never to crazy about take-offs (and hated sitting towards the back). But after a few, not so pleasant flights of being crammed in like sardines preceded by, often, a chaotic & hectic boarding experience – I quickly came to dislike flying.

Nowadays I’d take train travel over flying any day (that is if we could afford to go anywhere in the first place). Sure flying might get you from point A to point B faster, but you don’t get the fun & enjoyment of meeting new & interesting people, you don’t get the opportunity to view the gorgeous scenery that you can aboard a train, and you can’t move around like you can on a train.

Why Jottings & Writings?? Because my (main) blog is a mixture of thoughts/opinions (jottings) and my attempts at (very) short story challenges (writings). Interests? - Pretty much anything to do with Fire/EMS/Police, Writing, and Social Media Firefighters, Police officers, Paramedics, Soldiers.... Those are the True Heroes.
