Five Sentence Fiction – Moments

Each week Lily McFerrin does a “five sentence fiction” challenge. This week the word is “moments“. Here’s my story

Just one moment, that’s all it took. Just one moment in time to change her life forever. A single careless decision by someone she didn’t even know. No one surviving but her. Those whom she loved ripped away from her.

note: though not mentioned, the above is based on
a DUI premise. One single decision to drink & drive can in a moment change the lives not just of the person doing it, but innocent parties as well. PLEASE. Don’t Drink & Drive

  1. Your choice of words here has been quite succinct even without your descriptive information at the end. I read a wonderful memoir of such an event, “And the Whippoorwill Sang” by Micki Pelusi.
    WELL DONE !!!
