Five Sentence Fiction – Wild

This week’s Five Sentence Fiction word is Wild

Rolanda sat behind the wheel of her grey Nissan Altima, waiting for the light to change green.

Up ahead lie the entrance to the freeway, to freedom – a chance to be wild and free, not bound by the limitations that her husband and family always set upon her.

Rolanda had been planning this for weeks, no months – Saving up bit by bit, the money slowly adding up.

Thankfully her husband never concerned himself with Rolanda’s finances and how much she made or spent – so long as certain things were taken care of.

The light ahead turned green and Rolanda eased her foot to the gas and headed towards the freeway entrance and unto the freeway, never looking back.
