Wow…. Is it Wednesday again already???? Time sure flies when your having fun…. Or constantly hopping…. I haven’t hosted a WWBH in a while so thought I’d take a turn. Wouldn’t you know everything would go even crazier than normal around here.
On top of the usual craziness around here, my son ended up getting sick last week with some sort of bug and missed a couple days of school…. Then husband caught this bug (so far I’ve managed to avoid it). Fast forward to Saturday morning….. The “bug” that started out in husband nose (sinus drainage type stuff), ended up in his chest…. Saturday morning he woke up (actually I think he was already partly awake) unable to take a full breathe and feeling weak. We knew we needed to take him to the hospital…. One problem (well two actually). First of all Urgency Care isn’t open 24/7 so have to find open ER…. And then the biggy – How to get him there. We have a vehicle for transportation, but as weak as he was getting him in and out would have been difficult (I should insert – for those who don’t know – my husband has a T-12 paraplegia & is partially ambulatory, less with stroke)…… *Hem* *Haw*….. Try to decide what to do. In the end, feeling guilty and not knowing what else to do, I end up calling 911 (I can’t not describe how bad I felt when I couldn’t evens say that it was an actual emergency)…. To make a long story short, he was taken to the ER with O2 Sats of 88/89%.. You should be at least at 95% (closer to 100 is best of all). End result was double infection and dysreflexia brought on by low O2 Sats.
So there you have my fun this week. Husband was just released from hospital yesterday.
